What is the ideal outfit ?
When it comes to clothing, prefer a multi-layer clothing. Technical underwear should keep you warm and ensure optimal comfort. While for the second layer, opt for fleece instead. And on top, wear a waterproof and breathable jacket. Out with jeans and slims. You need to wear ski pants that will make you comfortable. Next, you need complete ski touring equipment: ski touring boots, ski socks, a scarf, a hat or hood, a pair of ski goggles, mittens or gloves, etc. In addition, you should also bring some spare parts at the bottom of your ski touring bag if you are going to spend the night under the stars.
Necessary materials and equipment
In order to avoid uncomfortable situations, it is essential to bring suitable ski touring equipment. First of all, you need a comfortable backpack that can support the loads. Then, you need to take the following equipment with you:
- touring skis and poles
- of sealskins
- enough food to last for the number of days of your hike
- bottled water
- a first-aid box in case of a boo-boo.
